Notice: Upcoming Infrastructure Upgrade: Frontenac HPC Cluster

We’re excited to announce an upcoming infrastructure upgrade to the Frontenac HPC cluster! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be deploying new hardware, including a modern storage system and additional compute nodes. As part of this upgrade, a new identity management system will also be introduced to enhance account security.

To ensure a smooth transition, all active user data will be migrated to the new system. Please note that the Frontenac HPC cluster will be unavailable from Friday, May 30 at 8:00 AM to Tuesday, June 3, as we decommission old hardware and bring the upgraded system online.

Once the new system is ready, existing users will receive an email with instructions to activate their account and set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). New users will be required to follow the updated onboarding process.

More details on the project and how it impacts your data, please visit the Frontenac 2.0 Overview page.
