Software Carpentry @ The University of Ottawa We also held another SWC workshop in the same week at the University of Ottawa. This was a two-day workshop giving a an introduction to scientific programming in the framework of Software Carpentry style lectures and hands-on labs: Programming with R, including visualization Using the bash shell on Unix systems Version control with GIT The workshop took place at The University of Ottawa, on February 23-24, 2017. 2016 Compute Ontario HPC Summer School. The Compute Ontario Summer School on High Performance and Technical Computing is an annual educational event for students, post-docs and researchers in the areas of computational science. Jointly organized by SHARCNET (Ontario-West), SciNet(Ontario-Central) and the Centre for Advance Computing (Ontario-East), attendees are provided with opportunities to learn and share knowledge and experience in high performance and technical computing. This all-week series of workshops will cover a range of high-performance computing related subjects.
