Upcoming Workshops The 2018 Compute Ontario Summer School on Scientific and High Performance Computing (East) The Compute Ontario Summer School on High Performance and Technical Computing is an annual educational event for students, post-docs and researchers in the areas of computational science. Jointly organized by SHARCNET (Ontario-West), SciNet(Ontario-Central) and the Centre for Advanced Computing (Ontario-East), attendees are provided with opportunities to learn and share knowledge and experience in high performance and technical computing. This all-week series of workshops will cover a range of high-performance computing related subjects. Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, July 31 - August 4, 2017 (CAC) Software Carpentry @ Queen's Due to popular demand, we conducted yet another SWC workshop on April 24-25, 2017. This was a two-day workshop giving a thorough introduction to multiple aspects of scientific programming in the framework of Software Carpentry style lectures and hands-on labs: Programming with R, including visualization Using the bash shell on Unix systems Version control with GIT The workshop took place at Queen's University, on April 24-25, 2017.
